Waste of almost a decade

Pros

Relaxed work atmosphere. HR was the source of all gossip, so if you are gossipy, you'll fit right in.

Cons

Micromanaged by people who have no clue. I was the sole engineer who correctly implemented concurrent user license checking into the software, which then generated over $285k for the company. Never even received a 'Thank you'. Why? Because management doesn't have a clue as to How it works, or why it never worked in the first place.

Pros

I enjoy working here in sales. Sure, it can get stressful at times, but the fact that it's enjoyable more than makes up for it. A little stress is never a bad thing.

Cons

No cons worth mentioning other than no window in my office.

Great Place to Grow Professionally

Pros

If you like being part of a small business where you can make an impact every day, Aptora is a great place to work. The CEO cares a great deal about the employees and will treat you like family. You are encouraged to have ideas and speak up about them. Everyone at Aptora recognizes that they need to evolve in order to continue to grow. If you can contribute to that you will be recognized. People that want to step up and grow both personally and professionally will get that opportunity. If you are a dependable, hard working person that will do what it takes to meet deadlines, then you will excel at Aptora and be rewarded for your contributions. It's a great place to learn as you will be given opportunities to do new things, and given the help you need to be successful.

Cons

Aptora is a small company and there is nowhere to hide. If you are comfortable pulling your weight then you won't have any issues. There is always plenty to do and you will get the opportunity to pick up projects and tasks that are not necessarily part of your everyday job. If you just want to focus on your job and go home, you can do that and be fine, but in order to really excel you will need to look for opportunities to do more and take advantage of them when they come.
