A Best Workplace reduced to an OK place in less than a year

Pros

Good benefits, internal training seminars, free pizza, corporate sponsored events and parties, interesting and varied work and customers, casual dress code

Cons

Detached, unfriendly executive management, CYA corporate culture created by senior leadership, bait and switch hiring practices (you're brought in with promises of true profit sharing, career development and promotion opportunities and wind up with a limited, one-dimensional path and no consideration for your own career aspirations or next level promotions). The environment is high stress and low morale. It's truly unfortunate because it used to be a great place to work.

Pros

Great perks (flex schedules, great benefits, fitness programs, nice café and lounge areas, fun events, etc.) plus they are 100% invested in growing YOU. I honestly have never been in such a supportive environment where folks collaborate, build each other up, and do great work as a team.

Cons

Cubicles - but that will be over when we move to the new building in a few days. I can't wait!

Pros

Mid-size company with a small company feel and excellent growth. Everyone I've met, from project teams to random people in the hallway, is rock solid. Great social activities almost every month, participates in local charities and events, and great flexibility for work/life balance.

Cons

The company really is in a growth spurt and sometimes the change management can be difficult, especially for people who work mostly offsite and don't experience the day-to-day changes. But I understand they've been through growth like this before, and they;re trying to get things in place to scale as the company expands.
