Pros
- Casual work environment (can wear jeans) - Collaborative, open office set-up (if you're into that kind of thing) - Great co-workers. I think everyone who works there genuinely wants to do the best at their job, improve their skills, and excel the brand. I had a great team.
Cons
- High turn-over rate, not just among lower level employees but management as well. There were pockets of time that we did not have leadership and ran things on our own. Having leaders present and available makes a difference in team moral. No team wants to feel like a ship without a captain. - Upper management doesn't seem to listen to the concerns of their employees, which is probably why many mid-level managers and supervisors leave. - A lot of changes and instability. New divisions, employees constantly switching departments, constantly on-boarding and training new employees, constantly having to pick up the slack for employees that leave or transfer until their replacements are hired, etc. Maybe once they get everything settled and have employees that stay longer than 2 years, it could be a wonderful place to work. - Okay benefits and not enough incentives to stay through the instability. My department's engagement budget got cut, so any extra/fun activities had to come out of our own pockets. Being able to go out for lunch on the company card sometimes or at least being able to leave early every once in a while does wonders for employee moral.
