Pros

The only value of working at Aramark is you learn how not to treat employees and customers.

Cons

Sexist "boys club" that discriminates on many levels. Flat organization with no advancement potential. Unethical business practices- stand up for the customer and you can find another job.

Pros

Enjoyable job atmosphere with ever-growing add-on responsibility. Strong corporate involvement. Strong management and financial controls, with focus upon strong leadership, quality control and customer service.

Cons

Human Resources at all levels is known for knee-jerk reactions, especially in response to unfounded customer complaints, or situations unfavorable to the company bottom line of profitability. Human Resources will "investigate" at management request any seemingly or alleged management misconduct, seek to control the flow of accurate, truthful and reliable information to upper management to facilitate their range of control within the organization hierarchy. The manager(s) unfortunate enough, despite absolutely no wrong-doing, having displayed nothing less than stellar performance at any time based in part but not limited to solid, written/documented customer satisfaction letters and evaluations combined with excellent to outstanding ARAMARK documented performance evaluations, is hung-out to dry, as a scape goat-essentially for all practical purposes BLACK LISTED-despite the negative implications. The moral and corporate responsibility to defend it's employees from wrong-doing in this situation doesn't enter the picture. Sadly enough, those in position of authority to step forward and correct a wrong-from the Human Resource leadership, to the District Managers, to the Group Presidents, and higher-remain silent. Sadly enough, this experience isn't isolated or limited to the type experience mentioned here. The arena extends beyond into contract renewal, contract bidding, and labor relations.
