Pros

Aramark Uniform not only gives you the benefits of an outside sales job, (such as all the freedom in the world), but we have awesome insurance, matching 401 k, 6000k year car allowance, gas card that is not only for business use, but personal use, cell phone, laptop and bonus money with good production, trips etc. etc.....lots of oppty for advancement And as for local management in sales and service....AWESOME!! We could not ask for a better sales manager, GM, group manager, and district managers than what we have. But as for Aramark Dallas, if you are so lucky to get an interview, make sure you turn up your presentation skills a notch, because you only have one chance to make a good first impression!!

Cons

This is a hunter position, so be prepared to hunt and sale new. However, the upside to that is we have a different team that manages and takes care of the customer so you can go out and sale more new and not deal with any issues that may come up.

Pros

Route sales rep when I started the training was very good, I was paired up with three drivers that had worked for the company at least 8 years.

Cons

Share some of the downsides of working at ARAMARK Uniform and Career Apparel. I was told of the management turn over, each had seen at least 5 general managers, 3 group Managers, and more then 20 district managers. The RSR's are responsible for Daily collection on COD accounts, route growth, and billing for Loss and Ruined garments. It was explained to me by each of the three I trained with, make your daily L&R and they will leave you alone, and not question how you made your number. When I was training with one RSR and learning the hand held computer on National accounts like BJ’s, and The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc. (A&P) just bill them for 5 garments. you have to bill everything you can on accounts like these even when there is no damages or losses. I questioned how could they do this it is stealing and they said the managers know, but if you make your number then they make theirs. I was told that when one of the training RSR’s started the Loss and Ruined target was 16% of the daily billing now it is at 22% this is not a target it is a required quota. I feel for the district managers they are responsible for the route collections, customer service, growth, and retention of accounts for their area. There biggest issues is they are the 2nd line in making rate increases stick. This company lives by the rate increase, I have seen quarterly increases every quarter since I started. I was servicing one account that had signed less then a year earlier and their bill had gone from $48.00 per week to $72.00 if you say something is funny the company lives by the contract and they violate the agreement by increasing rates any time in the first year. This is by far the most unethical company I have ever worked for, and I am Embarrassed be associated with. them
