Pros

Benefits are what brought me to the company.

Cons

No opportunity to hit bonuses. Work / life balance is terrible. 75+ hours. I provided solution to fix the challenges and upper management did not believe change was necessary. Watch your paycheck.

Pros

You get to work in really cool venues and surroundings. I was able to bump elbows with a lot of famous people and sports stars

Cons

There was absolutely no training provided. I was simply thrown to the fire and told to figure it out. While I was told about the event-based hours, the amount of hours required did not match up to the work that needed to be done. There was no emphasis on family or work/life balance. Only work more and create more face time. There is a lot of false sense of entitlement and "holier than thou" attitudes, and as you look higher in the org. chart it becomes worse. The ends always justifies the means. People are viewed as an expendable resource and treated with little to no respect. Unionized accounts develop an inherent tension, but there was always a focus on how management can switch a policy to upset unionized employees. Seniority and tenure are only adhered to because they're in a CBA. As with any other company the politics are horrible. I experienced a quick fall from grace, and was looked down upon and treated very poorly. I went from the in-group to the out-group in the matter of days. No feedback is given, no development and no clear direction. The Denver district makes it hard to advance yourself and your career. Almost all of the clients in the Denver district are very dissatisfied with Aramark. Job stability for those who are still with Aramark in the next 5 years will definitely be in question.

Pros

Ability to gain an understanding of Supply Chain Management. Networking with national account representatives with major food manufacturers. Convenient Philadelphia downtown location. Work-place environment is good and I do not feel a burden when coming to work like some other employees with other companies.

Cons

The work load is never ending due to being short staff. Middle management micromanages the team which causes delays and unnecessary work. Compensation is not on the level with the amount of work that is performed.
