Pros

The only pro is that they are a big company.

Cons

Upper management could care less if you have covid and a broken arm, you better show up to work or they will guilt trip you and make you feel like you’re obligated to slave away for the company. Oh and also there is no such thing as having a life outside of work!!

Pros

Decent benefits and some really smart, dedicated employees.

Cons

Not a people-first organization. Employees were looked at as cogs in the machine. I could have and wanted to do more, but there was a lot of pushback to make positive changes. There was too much bureaucracy to get anything done with efficiency and timeliness.

Pros

Nothing that I can think of, aside from the fact that about 80% of the time, they’ll actually pay you what they’re supposed to pay you. The pros of my job have nothing to do with Aramark, such as where I get to live/work (Yosemite National Park), my amazing coworkers, and the community we have.

Cons

They’ll only pay you what they’re supposed to pay you about 80% of the time. Watch every paystub like a hawk. You’ll consistently find shortages by a few cents or even a few dollars. If you work for them for 10+ years, it will add up to thousands, and they won’t correct it unless they get caught. They’ll also illegally evict you and hundreds of other employees, while there is a “no eviction” law in place, smack in the midst of a global pandemic because you’re safety (and the law) means nothing to them. They’ll refuse to allow you to evacuate to save yourselves from massive wildfires, waiting until it’s not even safe for you to leave on your own any more, and rescue teams and emergency volunteers have to come and do mass emergency evacuations, driving through active fire zones to get you and your coworkers to safety. Their HR department also heavily relies on legal loopholes to avoid actually doing anything that would hold the company accountable, help its employees, and provide safe working environments.
