Management were disorganised at best (the collision of EC Harris and Hyder) and the induction process was ridiculous. The process seemed to consist of a line manager randomly asking for things to be completed and then getting annoyed when they weren't. Access to most of the modules was linked to the EC Harris Finance system and took weeks to materialise even when talking to the IT Dept face to face. Project managers in my experience left you stranded in situations without even having a brief to work to and then having to ask the client for it. Project fund management was not clear or transparent and this caused issues as many project managers were assigning work to other codes on the finance system to ensure they didn't go over budget.. Most of the material on actual project management was not available and this resulted in line management again getting irritated as various forms have to be filled out throughout within certain timeframes.
