Entering the ARCADIS office was literally like being in an episode of "The Walking Dead". This may not apply to all offices at ARCADIS. No room for advancement and advancement is not based on merit but rather if you work in specific cliques. Toxic supervisors are kept because of longevity and familiarity with operational requirements even though their poor reputation is well known throughout the office. Company has no interest in mentoring employees to grow the business organically. I asked the current CEO about creating a mentoring program to contribute to organically growing the business by teaching mid level staff the art of pursuing clients. This would allow push down of client development activities to lower paid staff to reduce client pursuit cost and allow ARCADIS to throw a larger "net" to chase opportunities. I received a robotic answer "Billability is important." End of conversation. The CEO should not tour offices to get a feel for employee morale then do absolutely nothing to improve it.

Incredibly sexist working environment - hires were made based on looks and inappropriate comments/behaviour around the offices was rife. Very pressurised environment with little regard for work life balance. Quite cut throat in terms of redundancies made and rarely followed correct process for restructures or indeed, treatment of employees.
