Pros

Love how much importance they place on Health and Safety of its employees, Really like their concept of Work life balance, Some great opportunities on international projects, Younger/Junior staff are also heard and considered, good Rewards and Recognition scheme and really great approach to People and Culture- they have free therapy and counselling sessions for employee to deal with any Mental health problems, many very good policies and schemes that are Pro-Employee

Cons

While the Lead Region (UK/USA/Middle East) Managers are great and the management tries to implement a European work culture, some Indian managers are still Hierarchial and do politics. No bus/cab system provided for transport. On site working opportunities are minimum.

Pros

Friendly and engaging (better if you are in the clique) Free bar twice a week, if you are in London (which you probably will be) Very positive culture (everything is positive!)

Cons

The external branding is that Arcadis is a Top Firm to Work for, shortlisted for endless MCA awards, has great values, promotes equality and diversity and ensure great work-life balance. How not to love it? Well, none of this is really true. This is the impression that members of the inner clique have of the firm and they hang on to it very hard. However, if you are not in this inner club, you won't feel this positivity much at all. If you are ex-public school, Russell group uni, have the right accent and are junior enough not to have any of your own ideas, the you will be fine. If you are stupid enough to challenge the opinions of the core inner team, then you will not thrive. On client projects, the leadership I have seen has been rudimentary when it has existed and absent more often than not. Junior consultants are put in positions that their experience does not justify and the support they get is inadequate (mainly as the more seniors don't have enough business skills either - just loads of confidence and assurance/arrogance). So, to any grad/junior - you will get better mentoring and development elsewhere; to anyone senior - you'll get frustrated and to anyone outside London - you'll get lots of hotel reward points.
