You can work from home if there is no field work.

Cons

Pay is very low and you have to look for projects while being employed full-time. All the work was assigned to me without guidance. I had to look for jobs internally but no one was willing to get me into their project because I was a person of color. At some point I had to develop an internal resume and post the resume in every department's group hoping to get involved in any kind of work but still no luck. I raised that concern to my then part time manager and she said it was fine since I was relatively new and later she blamed me for not trying hard enough to find work. It was to the point that I had to send a mass email every Monday morning stating that I'm free "Please give me work". I was also pressured to attend unpaid "social events" which was happy hour at a bar to "mingle and socialize" to be able to find work opportunities. Attending such places was absolutely not something I was willing to do.
