      Pros

      Lots of low hanging fruit projects, good job stability.

      Cons

      Some people hired in don't realize they could be thrown right in as a hourly supervisor, and think they are going to be doing engineering work.

The hourly supervisor role is vital to the development of our entry-level engineers. ArcelorMittal has worked to enhance our messaging on campus and during the interview process over the last year to communicate that all engineers will be assigned a supervisor role as part of their growth.

      Solid company that cares about its employees

      Pros

      Company seems to care about keeping its employees there long term. Unlike other steel companies, doesn't seem to do layoffs. Definitely plenty of work to do if you are motivated.

      Cons

      Somewhat outdated mindset which can be expected at a steel company. Some managers (not all) don't seem very flexible in working with changing priorities for younger workers.
