      Pros

      great hours, great people to work around, very relaxed-low stress.

      Cons

      they don't promote from within, a lot. a lot of management gets moved around from time to time. upper management can be very mean.

      Great health insurance, flexible working hours, training was really good, stable income.

      Cons

      Environment dirty noise, some of the manager does not have clue how to run the mill.

      Pros

      The company provides a hands-on, challenging job. There is a lot of responsibility and autonomy for an entry level engineer. The work hours are fairly flexible. There is a variety of equipment and technology in the mill; a lot of large and powerful equipment. Every day is different, and there is always a problem to be solved. The co-workers have been great to work with and are friendly. The company offers a variety of training/education courses. Benefits have been great. Tuition Reimbursement is very favorable. 6% match on 401K.

      Cons

      The company has a high turnover rate for young engineers. As a new emplyoyee, vacation time is 2 weeks until you have reached 5 years. The steel industry is male-dominated. The environment of the mills is dirty, but maneagable.
