Pros

Good benefits including a strong 401k match. The company places a real emphasis on safety, which is important in a manufacturing environment. There are opportunities for professional development and advancement for employees who are motivated and willing to take on additional responsibility. Many teams have experienced employees with strong technical knowledge, and there are chances to learn a lot about large-scale manufacturing operations. Overall a stable company with structured processes and clear expectations.

Cons

The culture can feel somewhat typical of a large corporation, with a strong focus on metrics and production targets. Some strategic decisions can feel short-term focused, which can create frustration at the operational level. Communication between leadership and employees is not always consistent. Like many manufacturing companies, employees can sometimes feel more like part of the system than individuals.

Pros

Lots of things to work on and fix. Never gets boring or monotonous

Cons

Depending on where you work, if there isn’t 24hr coverage you will be on call - and will get called if something breaks that the electricians can’t figure out

Pros

Many departments offer flexibility for salary employees to allow for personal matters like doctors appointments to be handled with ease. Every manager is different though and some are well known micromanagers. While management leaves some to be desired, the lower level employees I work with are phenomenal and the only reason I still work here. The job itself is so much fun and I am able to learn something new every day.

Cons

Upper management is rolling out changes to the plant's operating system before they are ready. This is causing upset conditions among employees, leading to middle management pushing lower level employees out, and looking for people who can "get on board". This is also leading to feelings of job insecurity and anxiety of what's to come. Communication to the lower level employees lacks greatly.
