Pros

As with any job in senior housing, we do this job because we’re passionate about the residents and families. Arden Courts is no different. In fact I feel it’s magnified since you’re dealing with residents and family members who are dealing with the horrible disease of a cognitive impairment.

Cons

1. Commission program is based on a monthly accrual method pause quarterly. For example: commission you earn in January would be paid 60 days after the end of Q1. #notmotivating 2. Expectations are unclear and ambiguous. Better get Everything in writing. And even then it’s not enough. 3. They want the Marketing Director out but yet you’re held accountable for conversion ratios based on tours that you ED or part time phone operators are conducting. #makesnosense 4. CRM system sucks. You’ll might as well use an index card filing system to keep track of your leads. You’ll be more productive. 5. Completely out of touch with how baby boomers (adult children) expect to be communicated with. Expectation is to NOT share information or collateral unless they physically come in for a tour.

Pros

Very friendly and caring environment. Everyone is helping each other. Insurance after 32 hours is established on a regular basis. Love the people I work with and enjoy the residents everyday.

Cons

There could be better guidelines. It seems the employees in the day have these, but they are not extended to all shifts.
