I’ll admit that when I first onboarded the lack of an open-door policy gave me bad vibes. That all went away after I got to know the management better but it wasn’t a good first impression.

During yearly reviews, they decide if they think you worked hard enough to earn a raise. If you do more than you're expected and put in extra hours, that will still not be enough for them to think you deserve a raise. There's not recognition of any kind. I was with Ardent for a while and I never got a raise or a promotion. They only promote people from the outside. The benefits were terrible. The managers are the worst managers I have ever worked with. The manager's don't know anything about what they're doing and they keep hiring under-qualified or random people to be managers, leaving everyone else that knows what they're doing to suffer.
