Has potential to be a great company

Pros

There are a few company wide events that happen throughout the year where everyone can have some fun.

Cons

Argo has potential to be a great place to work; unfortunately, unless there are major changes, it’s not going to happen. They are a very old fashion, conservative company and if you step into their headquarters, you can tell. There is and will never be a work from home policy. There is no hybrid work policy either. If you end up in a good department, then maybe your manager will let you work from home once in a while, but that’s not a guarantee. The pay is not competitive with the market right now. The company currently consists of either people who have been with the company for over 10+ years or new people who leave after a couple of years. There’s no middle ground. The office and equipment are outdated. For a software development company, they do not provide decent equipment. Unless you are in management or have been with the company long term, you will not get a laptop. It’s also hard to get fired. That is good news for those that take advantage of that but for the people who actually work and do their job, it is annoying to pick up the slack. A lot of good people have quit the last few years and moved on to better companies with more benefits. I think they have the means to do a lot and offer a lot more to keep the good people they have, but it’s not going to happen any time any time soon.
