Pros

Company stays in business, because they have large locked-in clients. It is not likely to go away soon.

Cons

It is not likely to go away soon. Watched a number of very talented devs come into and out of the place, sometimes because they got wise, sometimes because they got overloaded until they were fired for 'under preforming'. The devs who have been there for a while are ones they hired for cheap fresh out of college, and have been able to hoodwink into staying. Saw more than one very talented dev leave there and double his salary. Short version: this is a churn shop - not a terrible place to land if you are desperate, but you should keep that resume active while you are there. Caution: be careful with your job hunting while there. They are watching and will question you about it.

Pros

This really depends on who is your manager (lead, project mgr, etc). If you have someone good who cares about their employee's it makes it worth your while and it gives you the career opportunity that you want. High turn over can help you get to your career goal quickly (you have to want it and talk to your manager to see what you are lacking). Argo is making some changes, a bit slow but at least they are taking it into consideration (need to know who to talk to). Environment is great, everyone is friendly and willing to help.

Cons

No work from home. Typically you have to come when there is bad weather (like icy roads). If you're on an implementation team expect alot of hours. Alot of turn over, so the knowledge and help may or may not be there. No real innovation since argo is using a propriety language.

Pros

Easy to get hired and gain some kind of experience in development.

Cons

They use a proprietary language called ADS, which isn't a very desirable skill to have if you decide to leave. Debugging was a nightmare because you have to go through thousands of lines in log files.
