      Pros

      Good place to eat cake once a month, start a career, weather a financial crisis and move through technology at a snail's pace. Good for clock watchers.

      Cons

      Limited potential for career development, antiquated core technologies , extreme resistance to change, skills irrelevant outside of retail banking. Overall pass

      Pros

      ARGO has been growing very fast which presents a lot of opportunities for staff with the right skills and attitude. As ARGO is growing they have invested in HR and support functions to put more focus on giving employees benefits and support they need (including a considerable list of training classes). ARGO does a good job in recruiting talented people (rather than settling for warm bodies) and the culture respects people based on knowledge rather than on position / title.

      Cons

      ARGO has quite a few products that are built on proven but older technology that is in need of updating (the company has initiated a project to build a new architecture layer on .net but it will take time to develop the level of product sophistication necessary to replace existing infrastructure). People staffed in the Richardson office are generally expected to be in the office daily - so if work from home is important to you be sure you are interviewing for a work from home position which exist but are not the norm.

      Pros

      Decent pay, nice office atmosphere, quarterly to half year performance reviews, decent benefits, promotions occur at a good rate (yearly with good performance)

      Cons

      Turnover is very high, majority of employees don't get bonuses, management is quick to cut employee benefits, no real growth opportunities in certain departments, little to no corporate culture,
