Pros

Lots of corporate events, people are generally friendly, great locations of offices with plenty of restaurants, small gyms in buildings, modern coffee machines, game rooms with beanbags chairs for relaxing (although employees are generally afraid to use these), modern food vending setups, high work ethic employees, very knowledgeable people, comp days off to make up for days worked on weekends (when the company is not too busy), very diverse workplace, potential to travel the world with a career here, clean restrooms, modern equipment is provided, meetings are generally conducted via conference calls, and the office is generally laid back.

Cons

When traveling for company, don't be surprised when the company bends over backwards for large corporate customers at the expense of Aristocrat employees in ways such as: making coworkers share rooms with other coworkers, allowing customers to book travel for Aristocrat employees with the possibility of motel- class rooms with bunkbeds, allowing customers to ignore certificates of readiness contracts that they sign by not having systems ready for projects, and also denying per diem in favor of allowing customers to provide low quality meals to Aristocrat employees (usually for international projects). High hours, large range of salaries for the same position, favoring travel costs over employee safety(driving through blizzard over flying to closer airport for project), high turnover, and constantly understaffed.

Pros

Team was warm friendly, answered many of my questions during interview process, the relocation process has been flawless (moved from 3k miles away), and great welcoming experience as a new hire. Very flexible environment for work life balance, all the folks on the team want to WIN! Truly a global company that needs global thinkers and leaders.

Cons

Lots of personnel changes so you must be flexible to change. From what I can see, it is all for the better as Aristocrat continues to grow as a global leader/.

Pros

Business tries to create a fun and appreciative place to work. Outrageous trade show parties, celebration events to launch new products, and new sales milestones. Game products are cutting edge, creates a sense of pride with final deliverable. Systems has innovative products that enable the company to be competitive in the market place.

Cons

Management is a mess. Seems every year they restructure departments, creates lack of stability. Management would be lost without their executive assistants - culture is driven by EAs not management. Double standards for how conflicts and employee relations are managed and treated. Lots of management politics in play - a lot of back stabbing and double standards . Little opportunity for advancement - inconsistent mentoring and coaching. Too many politics play in all departments to get simple projects completed in a timely manner, efforts that should take weeks drag out to be months, leaves you with a track record of not accomplishing what you set out to do. Frustrating.
