Pros

Occasionally catered meeting has leftovers Skybar has free coffee for employees Experience working with startups

Cons

Well, I was hired as a student worker to assist another employee with their overflow of work. That employee left a few months later. In doing so, I took over their roles and responsibilities, but was still being paid as a student. There had been a mention of interviews being conducted to replace the former employee. In that case, I would still be doing what I was hired on to do—catch the overflow of work and aid in any way possible. In December of 2012, I was pulled into a colleague's cube where the transition of the replacement would be discussed. Then I was asked what day would be good as my last day because I was "only a temporary until they hired someone new." This was all false. I was never hired as a temp, nor was I told that I would no longer have a job. I even emailed the former employee, and she confirmed that I was not hired as a temporary.

Pros

University benefits are good. They are flexible with work schedules during slow times. Nice campus.

Cons

Extremely clickish. If you are not kissing up to management no matter if you are a hardworker, get your work done, you are still outside the circle so will not get the benefit of performance increases (even if you got 4 or 5's on your review). A work enivonrment of "friends helping friends".
