Pros

Free Education is nice, for the most part the people are great and there is very little micromanagement, very diversified.

Cons

Very Bureaucratic, I have never had any issues with management, I tend to be able to get along with just about anyone, however, if you get on someone in powers bad side, look out.

Pros

Health benefits, tuition waivers for family

Cons

Women Directors have control/power issues and stifle your ability to advance..ALOT of turnover; too much and they choose not to address why. They do not like men..just ask any that have left, nor do they like to be advised of areas of concern or areas that could benefit from new approaches. And, no, I have never been written up or reprimanded for anything; I just sit back and watch all of this unfold. Pay is low but benefits are great

Pros

Meet some awesome, intelligent people. Opportunities to network for further employment opportunities or pre-gradschool. Good balance between work and family life. Decent salary Most positions are grant based so you might be out of the job pending funding. Great places to eat near by. Excellent tuition benefits.

Cons

If you have to park it sucks. Parking is expensive or far away. Add at least a 15 minute walk depending on where you park. HR department is not conveniently located or wasn't it just moved if you have issues. Gym membership is expensive. Only 50%+ FTE can get monthly payroll deductions for gym membership and parking otherwise you have to pay the lump sum.
