Pros

Flexible, understanding towards school schedules. You are hired by the department head, and your scheduling is at their discretion. They are typically looking for a good attitude and work ethic.

Cons

You are expendable, and student worker positions can be hard to come by. Raises occur rarely, typically after you have worked a full semester it goes up minutely.

Pros

This is really the best place to work if you're in school and need an extra source of income. Everyone is always very understanding of your time commitment to school, yet you can work as many hours as needed.

Cons

Sometimes management tried to micromanage me, to the point where my monitor needed to be positioned a certain way so they could snoop over my shoulder as they passed--crazy.
