Pros

University benefits are good. They are flexible with work schedules during slow times. Nice campus.

Cons

Extremely clickish. If you are not kissing up to management no matter if you are a hardworker, get your work done, you are still outside the circle so will not get the benefit of performance increases (even if you got 4 or 5's on your review). A work enivonrment of "friends helping friends".

Pros

I have experienced good colleagues, interesting work, and considerable variation in work, which makes the position interesting. I find research and teaching to be highly satisfying.

Cons

Sometimes, it is not always evident exactly where the college is headed. This leads to considerable frustration on the part of faculty colleagues.
