Pros

Great enthusiasm and willingness to help you at work. Professors are well prepared and show respect to any student at ASU.

Cons

University keeps on charging money for recovering plans each semester, which are not really cheap. There are students that have to stop going to school to save money for this.

Pros

Great educational benefits. Challenging work environment Tempe is a great place to work and live - one of the best places in the country.

Cons

Salary is below regional norm. Direction of the university has changed - trying to operate as a private university on a public university mandate.

Pros

Being a T.A. for 20 hours a week, and your tuition, fees, and health care are covered (if the paperwork gets done on time!)

Cons

T.A.s are often asked to work more that the advertised 20 hours a week. It is difficult to say no, because the professors have power and graduate students do not.
