      Good for tuition support- but runs like a big corporation

      Pros

      A management intern position at ASU while in a graduate program often free tuition- a huge benefit!

      Cons

      The university is very corporate- which means that it feels like you are just a number. There are very few raises (I got about a $.50 raise per year, despite getting perfect annual reviews). Also- due to the corporate nature of the university it can be hard to advocate for change/ certain responses to social issues.

      Pros

      ASU varies widely by which college or unit you are in. I am fortunate to work in an area that values professional development and has a solid culture and good work/life balance. We have strong leadership, and I enjoy what I do.

      Cons

      Growth opportunities take a long time to materialize, and significant pay raises are infrequent.
