Pros

Great place to gain experience if you are fresh out of school. Ability to make a lot of money, if you don’t mind working 55 hours or more a week.

Cons

Carrier reps are constantly lying about updates, their managers will lie for them too. “Ghost books” causes you to lose customers which affects your bottom line. Extreme sexism/favoritism. You will get chewed out if you don’t answer emails at all hours of the day or night.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. We are glad you felt that you gained valuable experience at Arrive, and we are very intentional about the expectations regarding hours throughout the recruitment process and will continue to emphasize this to avoid the gap in expectations that you experienced. We have passed along your feedback to our leadership team. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

Pros

Great Teammates, Cool Stakeholders, Fast-Paced, Exciting, Good perks (pre-COVID). The work our team was doing was starting to make a bigger impact and we were working on some really cool stuff that was going to make the sales team's job more efficient and impactful. Over my time at Arrive I developed some great friendships and I am proud of the impact my team and I made on the business.

Cons

LFG mindset is toxic (as explained in other peoples reviews) End/Mid Year Reviews were a total joke. Reviews were conducted on Google Forms and not enough space or formatting to enter in everything correctly - it was also pretty short and sales-focused (only a handful of questions). They need a proper HR system like WorkDay to handle reviews/training. Also, I only had one actual review a few years ago (all others were skipped/not prioritized). I had 5 different managers over my time at Arrive. We went live with Accelerate (Our in house Software) with known issues (were forced to release early due to COVID), and a ton of reps didn't attend training. This caused us to "Firefight" issues throughout March-May and even through the rest of the summer. I worked many 60-80hr weeks fixing issues and while keeping up with the fast-paced business demands for new functionality. During this time, I received no (zero) personal recognition for my efforts from my management, while other team members received promotions and personal recognition. (I did receive recognition from my colleagues and stakeholders/sales reps which helped improve my morale during stressful times) They did a complete overhaul of the tech team over the last year. They have hired some solid managers and team members. However, 90% or more of all hires made in the last year have come from the same company (or close connection to that company). It has created a culture where the longer-term team felt like outsiders (I wasn't the only person who felt this way), and there is a "click" created with the people who were apart of the previous company. Lastly, The way I was let go was upsetting. It was a 2min meeting (disguised as my 1v1) were my manager just told me that my position was eliminated. I asked why and HR stepped gave their HR lingo, and my manager didn't say a word. Ice cold for a "People First Organization" (other former co workers explained a similar type of meeting when they got let go). I worked hard for years and had so much business knowledge/experience and relationships with the business built up and had data proving I was making an impact in many different ways. After I was let go, many of my teammates reached out that they were shocked that I was let go and didn't understand/agree with the decision.
