Pros

Arrive will sell you on earning potential and how you will double your Salary in a year, but these people telling you this are taught exactly how to sell the job, even though they have never done it/really aren't sure what the job entails. Everyone will mention the free lunch on Fridays, but fail to mention the Free week of work you will give back every month(only for Salary workers of course, they'd never dare pay overtime or the Hourly) They Have a Coffee Bar!(this will be mentioned multiple times during your recruiting)

Cons

where do I begin. This isn't the first place I've worked, so don't think I'm not familiar with the professional world. The employee Culture at Arrive logistics is Toxic, its constantly Arguing Via email and Chat back and forth, this isn't standard in the workplace, but its a staple at Arrive. They will claim the Hours are standard across the Logistics Industry, but It's not, just more lies. You will start out making a little more than $35K your first year and will be an assistant to an established Rep for your first few months and have no chance of making commission. This is your "training" but in reality, doing the math with a 50 hour work week, your are a $13.50/hr over qualified "assistant". There is zero room for Growth here, literally zero. You will be told otherwise when you are getting recruited, but as stated above, trained to sell you to the company. There really aren't any benefits I can think that would separate Arrive from any other Sales Job, but there are so many detractors. The only people in the office who actually look happy are all the "VP's" and tenured reps who have all of their underpaid assistants taking care of all of their freight. The layers of upper management is much thicker than needed, which leads to intense Micro management all the way down to the bottom, which is where you will be for as long as you are at arrive. (you'll be told much differently) Arrive is less than 20% Female, and the vast majority of them aren't on the Sales Floor.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to submit some feedback. We take these comments seriously, and I hope I can address some of your concerns here. Our recruiting team prides itself on transparency through the recruiting process. The earning potential that our recruiters explain comes from real company averages! Three of our recruiters were once brokers themselves, so our experience is helpful in explaining the positions at Arrive. Arrive Logistics honors the correct exemption statuses for each role, and awards overtime pay accordingly. If you are unsure of your exemption status please make sure to talk to someone in our People Operations department to better understand this and get clarity. Part of our training program does involve working on the sales floor as an Operations Assistant to a more experienced Sales Rep. While you are not eligible for commission during this part of training (since you are not selling yet), there are opportunities to earn bonuses on top of your base salary for meeting certain effort metrics. We know this is a rigorous part of training, but it is designed to familiarize you with the industry without being responsible for generating revenue. New sales reps leave this portion of training with industry experience, the beginnings of a book of business, and stronger relationships on the sales floor! Arrive takes pride in building a diverse and inclusive environment where anyone can be successful. We absolutely understand that we could not have accomplished the amount of growth we’ve seen without every single member of the Arrive team. Upper management not only recognizes that, but works hard to ensure employee appreciation is felt as we continue to grow. It is clear that your Arrive experience fell short of your expectations and we apologize for that. Employee engagement and wellbeing has always been a priority for our leadership team and we will use your valuable perspective as we continue to grow. Thanks again for sharing your experience with us. Arrive Leadership

Pros

Arrive is truly a place where, if you put in the work, you will be successful. The managers work hard to develop you and provide you with every tool necessary to maximize your potential and land customers. The culture in the Chicago office is second to none, and it stems from the leadership; from the top level down, you see why Arrive is ranked high on the Chicago Tribune's Top Workplaces list. The energy and camaraderie on the sales floor is a testament to how the company is run. They take care of their employees and make it apparent that they value them. Bottom line is, you won't find a company that is invested in your success as Arrive is.

Cons

The 7AM-5PM hours are not ideal, but it's industry standard and the days fly by quicker than at 9-5 jobs I've worked. Couple that with uncapped earning potential, and you start looking at each day as an opportunity to progress.

Pros

I left a comfortable position at a larger brokerage for a new challenge. It was a huge risk but one of the best decisions I've ever made. Culture is more than a buzzword for me. Culture is the feeling you get when you walk into work every morning. I can honestly say I enjoy coming in to work every day (after the coffee kicks in of course). I'm on a team mixed with fellow vets and green reps. We celebrate each other's wins and we broker HARD. A lot of that stems from leadership. My manager truly cares about the success of his team and serves us well, not to mention a true shark. Our HR team has done a great job bringing in new and experienced talent. I will give HR and L&D a ton of credit for our growth. Our executive team is approachable and knows how to drive growth. I share their vision in wanting Arrive to be the best in our journey to 1Billion, happy to be a part of the mission. Reps who come to Arrive have the advantage of selling for a credible company that is not yet saturated. Great internal reports and technology is a huge advantage. I have more marketing materials than I know what to do with. Good collaboration all around between departments.

Cons

The logistics industry is not for everyone, neither is a competitive brokerage. If you want a 9-5 and no stress, I encourage you to look elsewhere. This is more of an industry thing, not unique to Arrive. If you work in a 3PL, be prepared to work long hours, be available after hours (if you care about your customers), and expect to work hard. Nobody said it was easy but in a job where you can double your salary in a year it shouldn't be! All or nothing, this job is what you make it.
