Pros

The benefits are great. FAEs are treated very well, and are viewed highly within the company. They are rarely let go as they are the reason suppliers continue to invest with Arrow. The flexibility of the job is second to none, while the demands are reasonable.

Cons

There are few options to move within the company. The FAE role is more of a glorified sales engineer role these days. Very little in the way of offering true engineering support. FAEs are expected to act as conduits rather than subject matter experts.

Good pay, good incentives and good benefits. A lot of opportunities to grow. Get to know a lot of people from different companies, different backgrounds and different cultures. Very competitive working environment.

Cons

High pressure and expectations from top managements, suppliers and customers. Often overloaded with work. Lack of work life balance. Stressful work life.

Global Company. Large line card of suppliers and services available to customers. Training (ACT- Arrow's Centralized Training) is an excellent annual event for product trainings and networking with key suppliers.

Cons

Extensive reports and initiatives with suppliers which creates many unattainable goals! FAE job responsibilities are morphing into more of technical sales job.
