Pros

Weather, Benefits, free meals, opportunity for growth, just make sure you comply to Arthrex standards.

Cons

Bad management, from low level up! HR does nothing! Useless! If you go to HR you have a scarlet letter! Many sheep, many managers hired during times of lack of quality, experienced people to hire. A lot of favoritism to the sheep!! Sheep that should be fired are protected, and promoted! Inexperienced people promoted to supervisory, leadership, and other degreed positions the company grows so fast, they don’t belong. No development by management in place other than courses. In fighting of management personnel in department and other departments. Pay is mediocre and cost of living high. Not worth a move from the north. Huge growth in company sales, with lack of quality employees equals overwhelming, overworked! If a job opportunity comes up in another department it’s usually already spoken for. If you want to apply to a different department, you have to tell your manager you are applying. If that manager doesn’t like you, you can bet the hiring manager is notified and other managers too. Why bother trying to grow? The comments from other reviews is true about cameras at all facilities! Little brother is watching you!!

Pros

Free lunch Monday-Thursday Free health insurance for employee, if you submit the very nosy wellness form 3 weeks of vacation Vacation for family every 5 years

Cons

Fear and intimidation is used by management and HR all the time. Don't even tell HR about anything about a manager because they will take the manager's side blindly. Also, don't bring any issues to HR because HR will start investigating you and call you into intimidation meetings. It's HR policy and it's destroying morale. Lower salary compared to similar jobs nearby Start as "engineer" even if you have over 10 years of experience and even a master's degree. You have to work at Arthrex for many many years to become a "Senior Engineer" even if you were one at your last job. Don't count on moving up, since there is almost nowhere to move up to at Walnut. Oppressive environment, not open to any ideas to save the company money or improve anything. Politics rule and the wrong people get jobs they aren't qualified for. 2 brothers rule by fear and intimidation at ACI. Corporate doesn't do anything.

Pros

-Good work/life balance. -Nearly impossible to get fired I could complete my daily deliverables by 10 am, and I'd spend the rest of the day going for walks and reading in the garden. Seriously, I've never had more downtime in my life. I read so many books and listened to so many podcasts.

Cons

-Very poor, inexperienced lower management. -Laughably poor systems and operations practices. -Very little business practice documentation. -Many colleagues have only worked at Arthrex, and don't know any better. Furthermore, many of them are brainwashed, and it's scary. -A clear and frightening level of nepotism. -Many employees are hourly (with little to no benefits) when they really should be salaried. After coming from a major med device company, Arthrex was like entering the twilight zone. Now, I can only speak to the operations side of the company, but communication is incredibly poor throughout Arthrex. On top of that, they don't believe in work instructions or finding best practices. They just prefer to keep everything as is. Although, I have to hand it to Reinhold, because the company is very successful, but its success is despite their ops team. It's clear upper management is the reason for their success, and they let lower management run on cruse control. At any given time they can have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of product on backorder because of packaging/labeling issues. Things that could be solved with better management and updated systems.
