Pros

There is a genuine interest in investing in staff. Independent research is often funded, lots of in-house and external training opportunities provided. The company motto, 'shaping a better world' is taken quite seriously - fair amount of funding for community initiatives.

Cons

A bubble mentality dominates among staff (only things developed at Arup matter), likely because the typical Arup staffer starts as a graduate and does not leave until retirement. Career growth opportunities are limited. Support to those joining mid-career is almost non-existent.
