      local and international project experience; multidisciplinary interaction; quite a lot of training, seminars and conferences; overtime work paid; sense of belonging

      long working hours on weekdays and weekends, hard to achieve work-life balance, spending over 30% of time for pitching, PR and marketing without enough time for ongoing projects

      Pros

      Arup is a wonderful place to work. There will be wide range of opportunities to grow. Experienced senior engineers to learn from. Takes great care of graduate engineers. Quite flexible in all terms and a place that is easy to cope up. Value the staff very well. Great work life balance. Great working culture. I have only came out of the firm just to work somewhere close to my home.

      Pros

      Multi disciplinary. Support from other professionals and company to grow. Large company facilitates career progression. Almost like an extension to being at university. Great possibilities, opportunity to be part of fantastic cutting edge projects and solutions.

      Cons

      Large company also means you might feel like small wheel in a big machine, Pay rate may not be as high as other smaller companies but offset by what you can learn.
