Terrible attitude when leaving

Pros

Large corporation with many opportunities

Cons

They haven't paid my business expenses as we previously agreed, so I had to spend many thousands with solicitors only to get less than half of what they owed me and what previously was promised to me by a director of a division. Because they are massive corporation and have the funds for long term court proceedings, they forced me either to accept the terrible offer or fight them in court which would drain all my savings. After reviewing my case several solicitors confirmed that I was on the right, but unfortunately Arxada had the leverage of dragging the case for years, which they unapologetically used to drown me. Absolutely abhorrent company! Suggestion - save all your emails, record the phone calls with managers, etc. If you get into a fight with them and have the legal insurance or strong case, do not hesitate. They deserve the worst!

Pros

Start salary could be quite good, company in transition so might be interesting for your cv

Cons

There's to types of roles within Arxada, the operational roles and headquarter functions performed in either Barcelona or Basel. I have very bad experience with the latter. The turnover of people is incredibly high and a telling sign of how it is to work for this company. The organisation is very unorganised, with Troy on its own systems and absolutely no clarity on roles and responsibilities - with large number of people leaving all the time making it even worse. As been referred to in other recent reviews, company culture and people management is absolutely appalling, you wouldn't believe how bad it is. HR fires employees for providing negative feedback in an "anonymous" employee survey, even when they have all the feedback about toxic behaviour of the relevant manager. The company is also struggling very much. The company was acquired at the peak of the economy, and with decreasing demand in their products post-Covid, and due to raising interest rates for this highly leveraged company, it is questionable if the company will survive at all the next few years. If anything, don't expect any bonus/promotion/etc. as it very underperforming and suffering losses. Company leadership is out of touch and changing strategy all the time. For instance, initially it was decided everyone could work from home, then it was changed back to a "hybrid model" where they will want you more often in the office than you might expect. Overall, work-life balance is very poor, people are overloaded with work as cost pressures rarery allow for new positions.
