Pros

Discounted product and the day you can finally quit. Quitting here actually feels better than getting hired!

Cons

Management, whether it be at lower levels or upper management. All self serving, no one actually wants to help you. Management often will try trapping you with made up or fake gossip, a manipulation tactic that is often used at Ascend.

Pros

-you get first dibs on products before medical patients

Cons

-normal customers get better discounts & deals then employees -all opportunity’s and advancement strictly rely on favoritism and who you are related to -harassment is tolerated depending on if the general manager is friends when them. (Not the old GM harassment issue, the current GM) -opportunities to travel the country are offered but only given to 1 specific employee. -GM protects her managers dating countless current and previous employees -normal employees are held to a higher standard than the GM (attendance and punctuality specifically, the GM’s friends are the exception to this) -Leadership is a rotating door because it’s hard to stand with a GM that will lie to your employees -Pay is just above minimum wage -Expectations like scheduling and sick days are promised in the interview, once you start, the handbook ownes you.

Pros

Advanced from entry-level; Occasional free cannabis sample (not often enough, though); Not amazing pay, but keeps the lights on, evolving company is cool but very corporate, benefits but are heavy pulls from your wages. Overall, its cannabis from clone to sellable product so it was amazing experience to receive, despite the leadership/corporate dissonance. And the friends along the way were also great, a cannabis industry with some good hearts.

Cons

Corporate constant changing/demanding things; pay barely high enough, doesn't scale well for responsibilities; toxicity that was hard to weed out; some favoritism that tends to happen in a lot of places, as well as the drama/cliques; benefits are heavy burdens out of your wages you need to live then the benefits don't cover that much; etc. A handful of those classic corporate infected company, with some few good parts and people.
