You would starve without the paycheck.

Cons

For every two years worked, you will know somebody with a permanent disability or has been disfigured from a work injury. Shortcuts and nepotism rule the day while safety takes a back seat to production. Without the strong union presence and MSHA inspections, injuries and fatalities would be far greater.

The people at the local facilities are really good people to work with.

Cons

Ash Grove hired the CEO that drove Hostess, Inc. into bankrupcy. Makes you wonder what the long-term plans are for Ash Grove ??? The company is changing quickly and most of it is geared toward making it a less-human place to work. Corporate office is EXTREMELY disfunctional.
