Too much work for too little pay

Pros

You get to work with some really amazing kids and staff. The days are very structured. I learned a lot about behavior and reinforcement that I have been able to carry over into other jobs.

Cons

There is little supervisor, a lot of rules, terrible pay, and you aren't treated as Ann adult with a job. Very micromanagey. Too much responsibility for very little pay. Large physical component to the job.

The individuals you’re there to support.

Cons

Low, unlivable wages. Extremely top-heavy, corporate level “leadership” whom have no peer-to-peer relationships with staff or individuals. Continuously creating new jobs without focusing on the front line DSP’s which then directly effects the supported individuals lives.
