Pros

After 13 years at Associated Bank, I'm somewhat at a loss for pros...

Cons

In 2021 the Pension Contribution was cut in half - the excuse was given that minimum wage was being raised to $17 and they needed the money for that. Solid and above-par performers were given only a 2% raise (!!!) in 2022 in spite of high-inflation and company-touted record profits!!!

Pros

401k, stock options, decent amount of pto/sick time

Cons

Too much pressure on sales expectations - makes employees feel the need to sell before assisting clients. Management at the time did not know how to use banking systems and had little knowledge but expected all employees - bankers specifically to know all and make a sale in every interaction.

Pros

The office I worked at was small, easy to access, and coworkers were friendly.

Cons

Decent place to get your foot in the door but raises are small change. Management is unprofessional. No room for growth opportunity. Stay long enough to learn a few things and then hit the pavement for comparable jobs that pay 20-30% more with less stress. Hiring process with background checks took 2 months.
