The people make AssuranceAmerica what it is, family atmosphere and inclusive environment. When I came to the company it had a bad reputation in the insurance community. I have worked for many other carriers, and with changes over the years we are by far the best in the business. The company really strives to be the workplace of choice in the community, and trust me if you are considering a change, the grass is definitely greener on this side of the fence. Benefits are good for the size of the company.

Cons

First of all, no company is perfect, but finding a company that wants to listen and actually implement change is rare. AssuranceAmerica truly wants to listen to employees. However, rapid growth has caused corporate attention deficit to some degree. Some projects and improvements either get rushed or fall off radar completely. Project management and implementation is a focus area that the company could benefit from in all departments. Advancement opportunities are there, but not clearly defined. Clear career paths needed, as well ensuring that associates know when positions are posted and open. Lack of a future plan for remote work is leading to difficulties in attracting top talent.
