Pros

The pay rate is exceptional, and there's free coffee in the breakroom. There's also tea and water. There's a peaceful water fountain in the lobby, too. And you can listen to music, as long as you have headphones.

Cons

Where do I begin? The training for this position is grossly ineffective, provided by a trainer that wasn't even remotely attentive-just more focused on returning to her home office. The amount of memorization needed for the position was not at all helped by an inattentive, short-tempered trainer rushing out of the classroom on her phone every ten minutes. No training environment, no dummy accounts, no anything. The training consists of cramming for exams, worrying about the final, mock calls and sitting through Powerpoint presentations. All of that, coupled with a short-tempered trainer and a manager always gossiping about employees, made for a mediocre training experience. Good luck if you learn through training modules and/or patient, encouraging instruction. No team events and very little goodies passed out to encourage a family-oriented atmosphere. Painfully little effort was put into making us feel welcome. Heavy stress on metrics, metrics, metrics. You can keep your belongings with you, but EVERYTHING ELSE IS SCRUTINIZED. Every aspect of your job is micro-managed. Down to the letter. There's a very long list of things you cannot do, at the threat of being heavily penalized. Do this, you're in trouble. Do that, you're in trouble again. We were hastily taught and repeatedly commanded to do a duty we were not originally hired for. I'll say one more word on that: errors. If you're expecting to develop a bond with your trainer, just be warned that your trainer may be flying in from Florids or Texas for two weeks, and won't give two cents about you. Mandatory overtime. This position is not at all recommended for those that take the bus and/or have countless responsibilities outside of a job. Every mistake you make is under a microscope. My class and I saw quite a few employees go under the knife. The system used is rather archaic. Beware if you find old operating systems hard to learn.
