Pros

* Stable, unlikely to ever go out of business * People are nice * Seems like a good place for a lifer * Snacks and sodas, free lunch sometimes * Hard workers.

Cons

* Two phrases Delivery Leads and Practice Managers * Lots of pointless meetings * Definitely people stuck in the old ways of doing IT * Communicating things to your manager is hard if not impossible * Bureaucratic - Between Service Now Tickets, Dev Support Tickets its impossible to get anything done. Also fun that email, slack, skype and teams are expected for us to use. * A lot of communicating up and down, but things have priority then just radio silence * Deployment weeks is always so fun to always being on call, I don't remember signing up for pager duty when i signed the dotted line. * Managers seem out of touch with Direct Reports and everyone in the company seems to be "Not My Job", "Work this weekend", "can you take on more points?" and my personal favorite "Let me bug you during your PTO" * People whom are dead weight and should of been fired during probation... * The top brass of IT has changed quite a bit and still havent heard anything from the new CTO. * No documentation to speak of, inside Assurant. Groups super insular.

Pros

So the floor managers are amazing overall. Fun perks like free lunches and the location in Bothell is nice.

Cons

What they don't tell you during training is the full scale of this job. You don't get the high incomes people brag about until you get high level accounts and high balances. That can take months and years. You can also be sued individually if you slip up which is messed up. There are people there that generate $9000 a month in revenue but still get $12 an hour no problem. Why doesn't anyone see the problem with that? It was a disappointing position to have because they build you up but don't hit your number and they'll make you feel it.
