Horribly unprofessional work environment. For context i have been hired as a casual warehouse team member and i have just started sometime early November this year. Firstly, Assurant have failed to properly induct me into the work, which also lead to them failing to provide me an access card, and it ends up with me having to constantly tailgate other employees just to gain access to the warehouse itself and fulfill my work responsibilities. My department's Team Leader also has failed to clearly communicate my work responsibilities and expectations, which caused a lot of confusion in the first few days of me working there. Not even a month in, after i started getting accustomed to my work, i got laid off from the company, with HR failing to inform me beforehand and having to fire me within the same afternoon as i was doing my regular shift, with no signs of me underperforming on my duties and no warning or probational period. The reason they cited was lower than expected work load which led to my rostered 38 hours a week being revoked on the spot and being told to pack my bags and leave effective immediately. Later that day i learned that the company laid off nearly a dozen of other employees within the same day, presumably without notice, and all of them are just as shocked as i was. All these factors have led to the conclusion that Assurant currently has severe mismanagement issues, and thus i would not recommend anyone to work with them until they sort out their problems.

-Lack of help from leadership on complex issues after 5pm -leadership during night shift was very unprofessional
