Pros

Benefits, compensation, work life balance, opportunities to excel. Autonomy of the US unit from Japanese HQ, while still supported fiscally and organizationally. Good product pipeline in a tough industry.

Cons

Lack of mature business processes, some - but not most - leaders either need to move on because they are out of date or came up through ranks and don't have necessary skills. Risk of impact from increased governmental regulation and/or universal healthcare.

Growth.Mr Hatanaka is doing an excellent job at blending the 2 corporate cultures. The proper funding is currently being provided to insure current and future growth and industry leadership.

Cons

working in Chicago, The winters are brutal. All roads to leadership lead through Deerfield. I guess it beats "Nw Jersey"
