Stay away, not worth it

Pros

Interesting and challenging work. Ability to travel to cool places.

Cons

The entire organization is managed by micro managers who use threats of retaliation and petty HR complaints to keep people in line. They hire people with experience and skills only to put them into a box with their outdated management and engineering strategy. The top three people are never held accountable even though they miss internal and external deadlines often. They paint a facade for customers and corporate, just enough to be left alone. They have a great customer base and could grow more if management learned to use more modern tools. Even the simplest tools like confluence or SharePoint can not be used because management is unwilling to learn how to use technology. The company is filled with people that will do anything not to do their job. Escalation have to happen frequently at 2 or3 levels above an individual contributor, to get the simplest things done. They live in the, “we have always done it this way” mentality and it is sad.
