Pros

Many opportunities to learn various aspects technologically Your initiative pays off in the short term, allowing you to define process for projects Good PTO if you make use of it Co-workers are friendly and easy to get along with.

Cons

Unfocused management means constantly changing priorities. Especially where code development is concerned. This is an insurance company, which means customer purchases are driven psychologically (people buy insurance for fear of loosing their phone) Remarkably high turnover rate in development (server/mobile code) Questionable treatment of some employees - apparently several HR issues with employees perceiving potential physical harm from their managers (!!) I have NEVER seen that at any other company.
