Pros

You get to make meaningful connections with patients

Cons

Poor management Overworked / Underpaid Looked down upon Company postures like they care about people. They only care about number of visits and how much they can get from insurance companies.

Pros

Great patient population Good continuing education budget Good CEUs within company Good medical benefits

Cons

Significant focus on business metrics Work Saturdays at straight time without compensation for documentation time Double shifts at straight time to cover PTO for another clinician without being paid for extra documentation Difficulty taking PTO due to having to find your own coverage High patient volume expected at all times Expectation of time spent marketing outside of salaried time Expected to come early/stay late Bonus curved against your other co-workers and not transparent There is no time and a half, double time. Ever. Below average time off benefits

Pros

Always hiring, opportunity for experience, provide CEU opportunities regularly.

Cons

Salary is an embarrassment. If a school had a snow day or a game is cancelled and you are unable to make 40 hours, you are forced to use your PTO for things outside of your control. Raises are based on how many referrals you get, but pride themselves in not requiring a quota. Continuously felt under appreciated by managers. At annual meetings, the corporate speakers would call us “trainers” which to me showed that they didn’t care about our profession, but did care about how much money we were bringing them. Also, relentlessly ask for all ATs to pick up extra coverages and it can be overbearing. Inconsistencies in policies, some involving pay.
