Pros

Working with Athletico was an opportunity to build everything from the ground up. You want responsibility? It's all yours. All of it. The environment is very casual and unstructured but everyone is dressed business casual. There's definitely room to grow. but.....

Cons

There's no real push from management to structure any of their growth outside of their clinics. Trying to develop software in house lead to everything getting sent back to the developer - endless scope changes at the drop of a hat - dismissing applications you just spent 3 months building. If you're not prepared to both handle ALL user feedback AND gather requirements AND design long term system architecture AND handle your CI pipeline AND test all your software BY YOURSELF - then don't bother coming here. It was actually fun for the first year or so until the system grew unmanageable for just a one person team.. Then the frustration set in with management refusing to adopt any kind of standard process. It was sad to see because there really is a lot of potential to automate their business processes being that it's a relatively small back office staff and Athletico would rather not spend the money on enterprise solutions outside of what the clinics use to see patients. It's tough to say what Athletico will do in the coming months - if they decide to grow and adopt Agile development it will be a long road of learning for their IT department; but it could potentially pay off for them if they get the right people on board.

Pros

Co workers and patients are great.

Cons

-charging units is all that matters here, get people in to bill at all costs -CEO is trying to build a new “culture” aka laying off employees during COVID yet still having the funds to open new clinics nationwide. -they will double book you, have you routinely stay extra hours to squeeze in evaluations and then you will get constant emails about how the clinic is still not meeting budget. -no raises across the board this year with COVID, again they opened several new clinics. -CEO Ron Rodgers has no physical therapy background, he does not care about anything but the money. -If you value yourself as a PT at all, DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

They have decent PTO but you are no longer paid out for your unused vacation and will not be able to roll over anymore either

Cons

They are only about the bottom line. Only upper management is taken care of. Everyone else is just a number and replaceable.
