Terrible Management Team

Pros

The job is very easy and, for the most part, fun. Good starting pay and benefits. If you are in college or want work experience in aviation, this is a great company to start out with.

Cons

Management team is horrific. They all cover each others' shortcomings so they look good in front of corporate review. They target and harass specific employees they don't like. When you work here, you are constantly watched by the cameras. They actually sit and watch the videos of every shift and will pick out employees they dont like and harass them. No promotional opportunities. If there is, it is appointed behind close doors and will lie to employees about it. Corporate values are subjective or non-existent. Question what is taught in the Atlantic Attitude class because it is not followed in this FBO. Keep the employee handbook and review it. It will be violated by the managers throughout your stay in this job. Keep notes should you need to present it to the EEOC. I have known people come and go for the last 10 years and all of them hated working here because of the managers.

Pros

Like anyone who likes aviation, there is a variety of aircraft and situations that change on a daily basis. However...

Cons

The personnel in charge make it so you cannot enjoy the above pros. It was a great place to work up until 2011, even with all it's problems. When the old GM left, everything began a slow death. There was a core group of people that all worked well together and had a great time. The biggest disappointment was watching an exemplary employee with loads of experience get passed over for the Operations Supervisor position in favor of a CSR with 2 years ramp experience. Poor decision. The other major flaw is that HFD is where equipment goes to die. Fuel trucks, gpu's, etc...the basics for an fbo...just a collection of junk. Really embarrassing to try and save face with a customer who asked for some fuel but "sorry, our trucks are inop.." Atlantic HFD needs a total makeover, starting with leadership. The morale is so bad there...I've visited a few times and left depressed. Too bad.

Pros

Working outside in all different types of elements around multi million dollar aircraft. Meeting new people everyday and the work day is never the same.

Cons

Challenges would be that management doesn't care about their employees or the equipment being used. Another problem would be if your not part of the "click" with management, you won't get any ware. That click would be regional directors to friends they made managers who don't have a clue what they are doing.
