It is nice to know that you appreciated the pay and overtime hours that were available to you, while having a supportive manager. We are disheartened to hear that your experience with leadership fell short of your expectations. From the corporate to the base level, it is our goal to have leaders and managers who invest their time in you to help you grow professionally. We would encourage current employees who feel similarly to have a conversation with your manager so you can develop a plan to meet your professional goals together. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and wish you the best!

Thank you for providing this feedback. We are glad you enjoyed meeting lots of nice people! Here, one of our top priorities is investing in our team members with a comprehensive benefits package and additional perks. We are sorry to hear some of your expectations were not met in the area of compensation. We encourage anyone who feels similarly to reach out to your direct supervisor or Human Resources for a confidential conversation to discuss what options may be available to you. We are grateful for your passion for aviation and wish you all the best as you continue on your career journey!

Pros

Getting tips from passengers. Be around airplanes. Fun coworkers. Allowed to pick up food for dinner in the crew car. Get great experience if you are interested in being a pilot or an A&P mechanic. Can go to any airport in the world and have the skills necessary to work on the line. Get in good physical shape. Get tan. Safety bonus at the end of the year.

Cons

Never having weekends off. Overtime mandatory so you rarely get your two days off. Required to work holidays. Several lazy coworkers who are never disciplined by management so they are always showing up late, calling out, disappearing in the middle of the shift, stealing tips, etc. Short staffed. High turnover. Incompetent general manager. Have to be outside in all weather conditions heat, humidity, rain, cold, cold rain, etc.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is wonderful to read that you enjoy many wonderful perks that come along with a career in private aviation! We are disappointed to hear that your team has been impacted by the industry-wide labor shortage and that staffing issues have been stressful. Overtime opportunities and extra days off are intended to compensate and balance your workload, and management is here to provide support and resources when an extra hand is needed. Anyone who feels differently about their manager is encouraged to have a confidential conversation with Human Resources to share your concerns so we can ensure your manager is creating an environment that boosts and fosters morale and supports every employee on the base. Your contributions and dedication are deeply appreciated.
