Business Outlook
Pros
Definitely a company that prides itself on a strong engineering culture. Engineers rule at Atlassian and they do some excellent work. Projects are generally well communicated through internal systems and there is a really good office environment and culture.
Cons
Management is bloated and objectives are unclear and often changing. As the company grows, it needs to learn how to better empower employees to make decisions on their own without having to funnel everything to upper management. Advancement opportunities are limited/non-existent for those not in technical divisions. The company also has a general policy of hiring from outside instead of promoting from within, leading to career development stagnation.
