Pros
Atmos has a great work place culture. A lot of freedom for anyone job working out in the field. The company promotes from within. Atmos really invest in it's people and views them as assets. The meter reader position is the base level in the company, but they really do encourage you to grow and want to see you climb upward; unlike some places that want to keep you right where you are at. Annual bonus. Full Medical/Dental/Vision <--Good plans too The branch I was in felt like a family. The company does a lot of community outreach (feeding school kids/ firemen etc.)
Cons
As far as the Meter Reader position is concerned, it is a very physically demanding job. I can't stress this enough...You will walk....a lot! So I would consider this position to be a young man's game ( Hard on the knees). However, I did see people be promoted to Tech within 4 months of starting the job as a Meter Reader so do what you will with that.
